Real Termidor HE termite prevention project | Epping, Sydney
This case study documents a preventative Termidor HE chemical soil barrier treatment in Epping at an existing home. The property owner sought termite protection before signs of active infestation were identified. Goliath Pest Solutions carried out external perimeter trenching, drilling and injection through hard surfaces, and additional accessible subfloor soil treatment.
These photographs show the external work only. They should be read alongside the completed treatment records; no photographs of the subfloor component were supplied for this particular project.

Stage 1: Perimeter trenches and soil access
Termite barrier installation at an established residence requires adaptation to garden beds, paths, decking and any services running beside the structure. Accessible soil was trenched in relevant parts of the exterior perimeter to allow the specified Termidor HE treatment. The images illustrate soil preparation beside a deck and around external landscaping.

Stage 2: Termidor HE soil treatment and trench flooding
The opened soil treatment areas were treated with Termidor HE, including trench flooding as part of the recorded work. The liquid was applied to the designated soil zones at the building edge, rather than to the surface of the wall. Specific volumes, rates and treated extents are determined by the registered label and the site treatment report.

Stage 3: Drilling and injection at hard surfaces
Where existing concrete limited open-soil access, the job also involved drilling and injection. The photographs show application equipment and a wall-line access area. The intent of combining methods is to address the sections specified in the treatment plan while respecting the property’s construction and services.

Working around drains, landscaping and covered sections
Existing drainage pipes, garden borders, paving and a raised deck made the perimeter more complex than an unobstructed soil trench. Professional termite management requires clear reporting of accessible areas and any exclusions, rather than assuming full coverage from a few photographs.

Subfloor component and documented limitations
Subfloor treatment was included in this Epping installation. We do not have photographs of that stage from this job, so the gallery concentrates on the external perimeter. For an actual property, the treatment certificate and durable notice are the appropriate references for installed zones, products and restrictions.
Eight-year warranty and ongoing termite inspections
This installation was provided with an eight-year treatment warranty and a $2 million insurance scheme, subject to the applicable written terms and scheme eligibility. Annual termite inspections are required to maintain the warranty. A discounted annual termite inspection is offered at $275 including GST, typically valued at $440 including GST, where applicable.
